The Blue Cruise (Mavi Yolculuk) is the classic Turkish sailing holiday: a few unhurried days aboard a wooden gulet, anchoring in a new bay each night, swimming straight off the back of the boat, and eating meals cooked on board. It is relaxed, scenic, and surprisingly good value compared with a hotel-plus-tours holiday.
The classic routes
Most Blue Cruises run along the southwest coast between Fethiye, Gocek and Marmaris, or out of Bodrum into the Gokova Gulf. Highlights include the 12 Islands around Gocek, Butterfly Valley near Fethiye, and a string of quiet coves that are only reachable by sea.
How many nights?
Four nights is a comfortable taster; seven nights lets you slow right down and reach more remote bays. Shorter cabin charters exist too if you only have a weekend.
ما الذي يشمله العرض
On a typical gulet charter the crew, the boat, and the standard route fuel are included. Food and drinks are often arranged as a provisioning package or paid separately, so always confirm the catering setup before you book.
Private charter vs cabin charter
A private charter gives your group the whole gulet. A cabin charter means you book individual cabins and share the boat with others, which is cheaper for couples or solo travellers. Decide which fits your group, then ask for matching dates.
Choosing your gulet
Look at the number of cabins, the deck and shade space, and the crew reviews. Comfort levels vary a lot between traditional and deluxe gulets, so be clear about your expectations up front.
