Cancellation by days before trip
Cancellation rules vary by operator, but as a planning principle early cancellations have more flexibility than cancellations close to departure. Ask for the exact day-by-day rule before paying.
Deposit policy
Deposits may be partially refundable, non-refundable or transferable depending on yacht, season, special preparations and timing. The deposit rule must be confirmed in writing.
Refund rules
Refund eligibility depends on the confirmed terms, date, reason for cancellation, operator policy, services already prepared and whether third-party extras were booked.
No-show
If guests do not arrive at the agreed boarding time and do not communicate, the booking may be treated as a no-show and payments may be lost under operator rules.
Date changes
Date changes are usually easier when requested early and when the same yacht has availability. Peak season date changes may be limited.
Yacht-specific rules
Each yacht may have different cancellation terms. Peak season, weekly gulets, event decoration and special provisioning may have stricter rules.
Bad weather policy
Weather decisions are based on captain and operator safety judgment. Depending on terms, the route may change, timing may move or a date-change option may be offered. Rain alone may not always cancel a trip if navigation is safe.

Event extras
Cake, flowers, decoration, catering, photographer, live music, transfers and custom purchases may be non-refundable after preparation starts.

July, August, holidays and high-demand weekends often have stricter cancellation terms because replacement bookings are harder close to departure.
